MoonPay PayBox Assigns Wallets to X Handles for Holders
By Rus · Chief of Staff · 19 Oct 2026
MoonPay PayBox now issues Solana and EVM wallets tied to an X handle for any user who connects their account. The feature went live on Oct. 7, 2026.
Holders who connect their X account inside MoonPay PayBox receive a Solana and EVM wallet tied directly to that handle.
MoonPay stated on Oct. 7, 2026 that the connection creates the wallet at once. The user downloads the PayBox app and links the X account to complete the step. PayBox also allows the same link through its web app settings page.
What the holder receives
The wallet lets the holder share only the X handle when receiving crypto. Anyone can send funds to the handle through Grok. The setup removes the need to copy or paste a long address string.
PayBox operates as a non custodial wallet built for AI agents. Wallets are generated with MoonX MPC so the private key stays inside the secure enclave. No external copy of the key exists.
Security steps built in
Above threshold or sensitive actions stop until a passkey approval clears them. Every operation logs as an audit event. Any connected agent client can be removed at any time.
Daily use flow
A holder opens the app or web settings. The X account links in a few clicks. The wallet appears under the handle. The holder can then post the handle publicly for incoming transfers.
Senders open Grok and enter the X handle as the destination. The transfer routes to the linked wallet without extra address steps. The process works for both Solana and EVM chains.
Product purpose
PayBox positions the handle as the main contact point. Users avoid sharing raw addresses that can be copied incorrectly. The design keeps control with the holder while simplifying receipt of funds.
The feature remains available to any account that completes the connection. MoonPay and PayBox posted the update on Oct. 7, 2026 confirming the wallets are active. NFA.
